Sherlock — AI-powered decryption · Only available to Law Enforcement / Government

Sherlock (patent pending) is a software application which leverages several AI-approaches to automate investigation of digital devices, generating subject-specific password guesses to decrypt the contents.

Sherlock uses state-of-the-art AI models to extract relevant personal information and generate curated password guesses, greatly improving the success rates of otherwise often intractable decryption attempts.
Sherlock automates the entire end-to-end investigation process including forensic image analysis, discovery of encrypted targets, personal information extraction, tailored password generation, and decryption attempts. This in turn frees up manpower for more productive use and greatly speeds up the process, allowing departments to meet the demand for digital forensic investigation and address existing backlog.
Sherlock features a simple web-based UI, enabling users to efficiently leverage Sherlock's advanced capabilities without requiring specialized technical expertise. This in turn reduces strain on the department's requirements to find qualified personnel with this specialized expertise.
Sherlock is intended to be utilized to investigate sensitive data which may be subject to security clearance or chain-of-custody requirements. To this end, Sherlock can be deployed to customer's own hardware in an air-gapped setting, or to a bare-metal on-premises cluster to leverage existing compute power towards the intensive GPU-accelerated decryption attempts.
Sherlock is a product of Canada's Innovative Solutions Canada program, developed in conjunction with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. As such, Sherlock has been built from the ground-up to address law enforcement's most pressing needs and perspectives.
